ED SMITH is an award-winning food and recipe writer. After leaving a career as a lawyer for a life in food, he trained as a chef, worked briefly in restaurants and pop-ups, and now cooks, consults, writes, and spends a bit too much time on social media (@rocketandsquash). His cookbooks include 'Crave; recipes arranged by flavour to suit your mood and appetite', which was named cookery book of the year in 2022, 'On the Side' and 'The Borough Market Cookbook'. And he regularly contributes recipe columns to the likes of Waitrose Food, Waitrose Weekend, BBC Good Food magazine, Delicious and The Sunday Times Magazine.

Love this cookbook! Beautiful inside and out. Great recipes, very straightforward and easy to follow, always can find one that appeals to what we are looking for. And our guests have loved them as well. Great ideas for hosting or cozy nights in. Makes a great gift as well! We loved his previous cookbooks , On the Side and Borough Market Cookbook, so we knew this one would be good, too!

The print was very small so I think it would be difficult to glance at while cooking. It had recipes for very unusual dishes. I had bought it for a beginning cook so I doubt she will ever use it.

This is a wonderful book - the idea is brilliant, recipes based on flavour profiles somyou can pick accorsing to mood. Mine is already full of post-it’s marking things I can’t wait to cook.

Received in the post yesterday. Looks and feels great. A LOT of delicious sounding recipes - but also just some really useful tips and guides. One of those "resource" type cook books that I think I will keep turning to. Looking forward to trying a few recipes this weekend.
